Process Narrative
The phone screen for a Data Engineer role consisted of 20 minutes of Python followed by 30 minutes of SQL with 4 questions. All questions were variations of known problems rather than exact replicas. I found the difficulty level unexpectedly high for a first-round phone screen, noting that the questions asked were typically seen as the 3rd or 4th problem at other companies. I expected to fail.
