Design systems from the client's side of the wire: user flows, API contracts, data modeling, and the state that makes a product feel fast.
What you'll learn
Scope a product prompt into user flows, surfaces, and the contracts between them.
Design APIs and data shapes for clients that must stay responsive under bad networks.
Handle real-time updates, pagination, caching, and optimistic UI without hand-waving.
Talk through complete product designs the way an interviewer expects to hear them.
About this track
Product architecture rounds sit between system design and frontend. The prompt is a product, not a service, and the interviewer cares about what the user sees: the flows, the API calls behind them, and the state you keep on the client.
This track starts with a framework for scoping a product prompt, then works through complete designs where the interesting decisions are client-side — pagination, optimistic updates, real-time delivery, and how much of the product still works when the network does not.
The questions are drawn from rounds companies run today, so the shape of each walkthrough matches what you will be asked to produce on the whiteboard.
