I spent 10 minutes discussing the problem with the interviewer and arrived at a solution approach. During implementation, I introduced two bugs, taking about 20 minutes to debug. My final solution passed all test cases, and the interviewer chatted pleasantly for 5 minutes afterward. Despite this, I received a rejection and was unsure whether it was due to the lengthy debug time or headcount being full.
